English in Year 1 and 2

In English we learnt how to write instructions. We worked in pairs to write steps for how to make a jam sandwich. We used bossy verbs such as 'put' and 'spread', we worked carefully on using time connectives like 'first' and 'next' to show the order. It was fun working together and learning how to give clear instructions, we loved eating our sandwiches at the end!
